Thanks so much for signing up for the AI Writing Workshop on Thursday 8th August at 6pm UK time (1pm US Eastern, 7pm Europe)

I’ll be sending out login details for the workshop soon – but first I have a bit of prep work for you.

Nothing too onerous – but it will help you get more from the workshop.

I’d like you to do two things (and one optional thing):

  1. Take a look back at some of your recent and/or best emails, newsletters and articles. I’d like you to pick out a dozen that you think are a good reflection of your style of writing. Try to make them as varied as your writing is – so if you sometimes write little stories, sometimes write listicles and sometimes write in-depth how-tos then make sure you include a few of each. Put the samples into one Word document or PDF.
  2. If you haven’t already, register for claude.ai from Anthropic. This is the AI we’ll be using for the workshop. You can use any AI really but right now Claude is the best at writing (in my view) and it’ll be easier if you’re using the same AI as me for the exercises in the workshop.
  3. Optional extra: sign up for Claude Premium. The current top model in Claude is Sonnet 3.5 which is included in the free plan so you don’t fully need Premium. But with the premium version you can upload bigger documents and you get more “credits” so you can have longer conversations and get more done before having to wait for your “credits” to refresh. Premium is just £18/$20 a month and you’ll get access to features we won’t be using in the workshop but are quite handy. And when the latest models come out you’ll get access to them first. You can, of course, cancel after a month if you decide you don’t need it – but if you’re going to be using AI a lot for writing it’s well worth it.

That’s all. Thanks again and see you soon!

PS – I’ll be recording the workshop in case you can’t make it or you want to watch the details again later.
